Hit MTV programme, Catfish, which helps people entangled in long term online relationships, is on the lookout for Islanders to take part in the show.
The show, produced by Viacom International, is looking for Islanders who have never had a video call (or met face-to-face) with somebody they have been speaking to online.
A ‘Catfish’ is someone who lures a person into a relationship by adopting a fictional online persona, a trend that’s becoming increasingly common in a world where many romantic relationships and friendships start via apps and websites.
Senior Casting Producer of Catfish, Viacom International’s Mark Johnson, said:
“I am making series two of the show which will be ten hour-long episodes for MTV.
“I produce MTV’s hit reality show ‘Catfish UK’ and I am specifically looking for residents of Isle of Wight to take part – I would absolutely love to have an entire episode filmed on the Island!”
Applicants must be over 18. To apply, email at [email protected] or go to www.mtv.co.uk/catfish/apply
Yet more dross. What with all the gardening, house buying/renovation, cooking and dating shows on at the moment, I’m seriously considering getting rid of my telly!
Best hope you are not white, not straight, and not fully able bodied then, or not a chance now.
Know what you mean!
Incest: The TV Show is more appropriate for the Island!
