UPDATED: A Vauxhall Corsa has overturned and come to rest on its side in an apparent single vehicle collision on Smallbrook Lane in Ryde this evening (Saturday).
2 Fire Appliances from nearby Ryde Fire Station are in attendance at the scene having been alerted to the incident at 18:15.
1 Female is understood to be involved, however she is not trapped inside the car.
The road is blocked in both directions.
UPDATE @ 18:50 – Paramedics are attending to the driver, who has escaped any serious injury.
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have now stood down from the incident.
Recovery of the damaged vehicle has been arranged. The road is expected to re-open once Recovery is complete.
UPDATE @ 19:55 – Smallbrook Lane has now re-opened to traffic.
