UPDATED: A car has left the carriageway, overturned and come to rest in a hedge near Shalfleet this morning (Sunday).
Emergency services are in attendance at the scene on the main Newport to Yarmouth Road having been alerted to the crash at around 05:45.
The incident has occurred on Yarmouth Road between the Betty Haunt Lane junction and the village of Shalfleet.
It is thought the vehicle was traveling towards Newport.
UPDATE @ 08:47– No one has been seriously injured in the incident, which is understood to have involved just 1 vehicle.
The car remains in situ.
