Firefighters are attending a car fire on Station Road in Wootton this evening (Wednesday).
The road has been closed in both directions as a single Newport fire crew work to extinguish the flames.
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene, close to The Woodman’s Pub, at 20:00.
A 2012 VW Golf has been heavily damaged in the blaze, but no one has been injured.
Southern Vectis buses are diverting via Fairlee Road until further notice.
