Police and ambulance crews are attending a single vehicle collision which has blocked a road in Carisbrooke this afternoon (Thursday).
A white Ford Fiesta has crashed into a wall on Castle Road between Carisbrooke Road and Whitepit Lane.
The incident occurred at just before 16:00 when it is understood the driver of the vehicle swerved to avoid a skateboarder travelling the wrong way down the one-way street.
Castle Road has been closed by Police as paramedics attend to the driver, who is not thought to have been seriously injured. No persons are trapped.
Motorists should divert via Cedar Hill and Whitepit Lane.
