UPDATED: Police, Fire and ambulance crews are attending a road traffic collision outside Carisbrooke High School this afternoon (Monday), where a Nissan Micra has crashed into a tree.
2 appliances from Newport fire station, several Police officers and paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are on scene at Wellington Road.
No children have been injured.
The road is currrntly blocked in both directions which is causing some disruption to school buses.
UPDATE @ 16:14 – No one has been seriously injured or trapped in the minor collision.
The scene has been cleared off the main carriageway, allowing the road to re-open.
Firefighters have stood down but Police and ambulance crews remain in attendance.
