Hope thier OK, but oh the irony!!
Island Roads need to get all this street furniture sorted out. Damn signs, bollards and lamp-posts keep jumping out in front of unsuspecting motorists. It’s really not good enough.
well they did what the sign said they reduced their speed
i do hope everyone involved are ok
I think they should give the driver an eye test
It did, so what’s the problem?
Let us NOT beat around the bush.
Dry roads, decent weather, driving like idiots, could have easily killed someone, so no sympathy here, and hope it hurts as too many like this here now.
I wouldn’t be so quick to jump to conclusions.
Driver distraction is possible but, given the straight road, good visibility and dry conditions, an external factor such as a medical incident or dangerous driving by another vehicle are more likely.
Hope all concerned are well, even though they will never live down the irony of the incident.
How did they manage to speed in a Yaris? Please teach me your ways
Given the deformation of the sign, they must have been doing a whole 20 mph! This obviously yet another accident caused by excessive speed on the island
Best post on this site for a while 😉
Would have been better too have put lippy on b4 driving
Cant make it up huh
Lost count of all the accidents lately.morons mostly who shouldnt be driving
you just could not make that up -priceless
Can’t see how it happened, most islanders drive in the middle of the road.
Could have been a bus stop with people
Didn’t even manage to get as far as the Z bend, which could have been interesting.
I can see how she’s done that. She handbraked far too early for the s bends with not enough speed to carry it round the first corner, thus cutting the corner way too early.
Easy mistake to make! ;D
driving with undue care and attention…. ban for at least a year would be nice for other road users. Too many drivers along Military Road looking at the scenery and not the road…. too many also cutting corners…
