UPDATED: The main road between Chillerton and Newport has been closed by Police this afternoon (Wednesday) due to a fallen tree hitting a car.
A white Ford Fiesta collided with the fallen tree on Whitecombe Road near Sandy Lane at just after 13:00.
Recovery of the vehicle has been arranged.
Thankfully, no one has been injured in the incident.
UPDATE – The road has now been cleared and reopened.
