BUS DIVERSIONS FOR PEARL IZUMI TOUR SERIES RACE

southernvectisdelaysanddiversionsBus operator Southern Vectis are advising customers of a number of changes to several routes on Thursday (14th May) for the Pearl Izumi Tour Series cycle race.

To allow for the race to take place, a number of roads in Ryde Town will be closed meaning diversions will be in place for Routes 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 22, 37 and the Island Coaster.

Three way temporary lights will be set up between St Thomas Street and the bus station entrance on Ryde Esplanade. The diversion for Routes 4, 9, 33 and  37 towards Ryde will be West Street, right into Spencer Road, left into St Thomas’ Street, Esplanade and into the bus station.

The diversion for Routes 4, 9, 33 and 37 from Ryde will be to leave the bus station via the entrance on the Esplanade going the wrong direction, into St Thomas’ Street, at the top turn left into Lind Street, right into High Street to rejoin the normal route.

The diversion for Routes 2, 3, 8 and the Island Coaster towards Ryde will be St John’s Hill, St John’s Road, Green Street, right into West Street, right into Spencer Road, left into St Thomas’ Street, Esplanade and into the bus station.

The diversion for Routes 2, 3, 8 and the Island Coaster from Ryde will be to leave the bus station via the entrance on the Esplanade going the wrong direction, into St Thomas’ Street, at the top turn left into Lind Street, right into High Street, Garfield Road, Victoria Street, John Street, left into West Street, left into Green Street and St John’s Road to rejoin the normal journey.
