Local gym legends and brothers have set the sky as the limit this month as they prepare to take on a skydive in support of Mindset Bros.
Matty and Richard Ward, from Evolution Gym, are set to take on an extraordinary challenge this April – throwing themselves out of a plane from 15,000ft to raise vital funds for Island-based men’s mental health charity, Mindset Bros.
In a bold and inspiring act of courage, Matty and Richard will be stepping far outside their comfort zones to support a cause that is making a real difference across the Isle of Wight.
Their skydive is more than just an adrenaline-fuelled experience – it’s a powerful statement about facing fears and backing those who are battling silently every day.
Matthew and Richard’s decision to take on such a daring challenge reflects the very ethos of Mindset Bros, leaning into discomfort, facing fears head-on, and supporting others along the way.
Matthew and Richard have said:
“This is about more than just a skydive — it’s about showing that we’re willing to push ourselves to support something bigger. If it helps even one person reach out or feel less alone, it’s worth it.”
This fundraising effort will directly support the ongoing work of Mindset Bros, helping them reach more men, expand their services, and continue building a stronger, more connected community.
Mindset Bros has become a cornerstone of support for men on the Island, providing safe spaces for open conversation, connection, and support without judgement.
Through regular Walk & Talk sessions, monthly meet-ups, and one-to-one support, the organisation continues to break down stigma and encourage men to speak up.
The team is calling on the local community and beyond to get behind this incredible effort. Every donation, big or small, will go directly towards supporting men’s mental health initiatives on the Isle of Wight.

Strange but true, same can be said for so called
celebrities.
I imagine someone who has so many Tatts must
suffer from mental health!, it’s not normal behaviour.
I have a friend who has so many tatts, she is now paying
thousands of pounds on laser surgery to have them removed.
And?your brain has a needle stuck on word numbty,!!maybe that needs removing with laser surgery as well
You could always get the word Numpty tattoo’d
as a keepsake.
So obviously people who have tattoos have mental health issues? I bet your friend appreciates you saying that? Also body piercing? Including earrings?
She actually knows she made a mistake and now
regrets it.
So many numpties have partners names tattoo’d
on their bodies and then split up.
They don’t sell tattoo tipp-ex, instead expensive
laser surgery.
