BMW DRIVER AND PASSENGER FLEE CRASH SCENE IN OAKFIELD

2 men are being sought by Police after fleeing the scene of a crash in Oakfield, Ryde this evening (Monday). The front wheel of a BMW 3-series touring has been left hanging off following the smash with a white Ford Fiesta. Police were called to High Street, near the junction with Oak Vale, at around 19:30 but by the time officers arrived the driver and passenger had run from the scene. The BMW has been left abandoned in the middle of the road. Airbags deployed. The female driver of the Fiesta has been left shaken by the incident and is being tended to. She has escaped any serious injury but her vehicle is damaged. High Street is currently closed in both directions as Police arrange recovery of the vehicles. The wanted males have been described as wearing a white T-shirt and black joggers, and wearing a grey hoody with grey joggers.
