Blackgang Chine has made the decision to cancel this year’s Halloween Firework Finale that was due to take place on Saturday.
Following careful consideration in collaboration with the Isle of Wight Council, the Blackgang Chine team have made the tough decision to cancel the Halloween Firework Finale, planned for this Saturday 31st October.
In a statement, owner Alexander Dabell has said:
“Every decision made during this challenging year has been with the best interests and safety of both our staff and guests at heart.
“Although we are, of course, disappointed that we’re unable to offer the planned evening entertainment this weekend; given the current national situation and increase in stringent COVID-safe measures, we feel the responsible decision has been made.”
All guests with pre-booked Blackgang Chine tickets for Saturday 31st, including Frequent Visitor Pass holders who had booked a visit, will be contacted directly via email today.

Very good decision I think. We should be in a national lock down by now anyway so nothing will be happening for a while, we all better get used to it.

Good, no need for such nowadays. Dangerous, noisy, makes pets and no doubt wild animals afraid, just for some gawping child to be bored after five minutes then back on their phones. No great loss.
I fully understand why they have decided to cancel the evening but I am very upset that we are being told we cant have a refund. I only booked to go for the evening for the halloween entertainment & fireworks. If they decide to cancel the event its wrong we cannot get a refund.
