Bembridge RNLI have been involved in the search for a missing windsurfer off Hayling Island this afternoon (Thursday).
The All Weather Lifeboat ‘Alfred Albert Williams’ launched at the request of Solent Coastguard at 15:54 to assist in the search for a windsurfer reported missing off Hayling Island.
The Coastguard helicopter and Hayling Island RNLI’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat were also tasked.
Thankfully, the search was called off at 16:03 when a Coastguard Rescue Team located the windsurfer safe ashore.
The Alfred Albert Williams returned to Bembridge and was re-housed by 16:45.
