Effort Rumbie Mazvidza, Senior Care Assistant at The Elms care home in Bembridge, was named Senior Nurse of the Year at Hartford Care’s prestigious annual awards ceremony, held at the Utilita Bowl in Southampton.
In addition, Aneesh Nair, a care assistant at Inver House care home, has been awarded the ‘Caring for Each Other’ Award, one of three special prizes from the night that showcase Hartford Care’s values.
The event celebrates Hartford Care’s valued and hardworking team members from its care homes across England and Wales. Residents, family members, visitors and team members across the company’s homes, as well as the team from central support, voted for their winners by filling in a nomination form.
Once all votes were collected, the directors at central support had the tough job of choosing the winners from all the nominations and comments provided.
Dozens of positive comments were received to support the nominees. Emma Jones, Operations Director at Hartford Care, said:
“Effort received an outstanding number of nominations, each one highlighting her hard work and unwavering support for those around her. She is described as not just an incredible carer, but an amazing friend who takes immense pride in her role and brings a natural warmth to everything she does.
“She is a constant source of support for new staff, always approachable and willing to guide others. Her professionalism and ability to connect so genuinely with residents and their families truly set her apart. Effort is a carer in every sense of the word.
“At Inver House, Aneesh has shown exceptional compassion and reassurance to both residents and their families. His kindness, positivity and dedication makes a lasting difference every day and we’re extremely pleased to honour him with this well-deserved recognition.”
