Aspire Creative Hub is excited to announce the launch of Build a Band. A weekly music project in Shanklin designed for young people who want to learn how to form, rehearse, and perform in a real band.
Sessions run every Wednesday from 15:30 to 17:30 at Furzehill Road, Shanklin, PO37 7PA.
The programme gives members full access to professional music equipment, including drums, guitars, keyboards, microphones, recording facilities, and dedicated rehearsal rooms.
Each session is guided by Aspire’s experienced music team, who mentor young musicians through the process of band-building, song-writing, teamwork, and preparing for live performances when the group is ready.
Meme Cullen, Music Lead at Aspire Creative Hub, has said:
“Our young people deserve spaces where their creativity and confidence can grow.
“This is an amazing place to be if you want to learn what it’s really like to be in a band. Our professional tutors support you every step of the way, helping build skills, confidence, self-esteem, and make new friends.”
The Build a Band project is open to all young people who are interested in music; no experience is required.
Participants will have opportunities to explore different instruments, collaborate with others, and work towards performing live as a band.

Just for once it would be nice to have a PR-concocted statement that doesn’t include the word ‘amazing’ when the matter or event or person refered to is quite interesting or unusual.
It would be nice just for once if we could have a PR-type comment/statement that does not include the word’amazing’ when the event or person or matter referred to is no more than quite interesting or impressive. And don’t get me started on the incredible misuse of the word ‘incredible’.
