A dust cloud has been moving across Europe and has now hit the UK, bringing with it a hue of yellow and orange on this cloudy day.
Saharan dust is relatively common in the UK and happens when big dust storms in the Sahara coincide with southerly wind patterns.
Air pollution can be increased by the dust clouds, which are made up of a mixture of sand and dust from the Sahara Desert – a huge area of desert covering most of North Africa. Those who suffer with asthma may find themselves struggling for breath, wheezing or coughing.
Motorists may discover a light covering of dust on their vehicles today.
