A day long festival of folk & blues returns to the grounds of Shorwell’s Wolverton Manor this May.
From the successful launch in 2011, the family friendly festival raises funds to support Teenage & young adult Cancer care plus local school, Brighstone Primary.
Wolverton Folk & Blues has become a firm fixture on the Island’s event calendar, with fantastic bands/artists each year along with locally produced food, children’s activities, tea tent and not forgetting the Real Ale tent.
Special guest artists at Wolverton Folk & Blues this year include Europe’s number one Blues Harp and front man Steve ‘West’ Weston and his band The Bluesonics, Cornish & Welsh rising Folk stars Piskey Led as well as UK Blues award nominated Stompin’ Dave Blues Trio. As well as the Main Stage, the popular ‘Beer Tent Acoustic Stage’ will make a welcome return providing a full and varied programme, featuring some of the best Folk & Blues musicians the Isle of Wight has to offer.
Other Bands/Artists confirmed for Wolverton 2025 include: The Hanging Baskets, Damien Paul Band, Something About Mondays, The Bohemians, Chasing Scarlett, The Ohmz, East Cowes Shanty, Lee Signey-AKA-The Infamous Rooster Fish, RazorJake, The RUG Band, Hugh Wright sings BOB DYLAN, Ruby, Moonshine Border Morris plus more to be announced.
With an IW real ale beer tent, Tea Tent, children’s activities, craft stalls and Morris Dancing, The Wolverton Folk & Blues Fair is a great opportunity to enjoy top live music and great festival food, set against the backdrop of the beautiful West Wight scenery.
The event, supported by Red Funnel Ferries, is to be held in aid of Teenage & Young Adult Cancer Care and Brighstone School.
Ticket Information are available for £12.00 – if brought it advance – and £15.00 on the day. Children 12 & under, go free.
