All Care Isle of Wight has marked Professional Care Workers’ Week (15th – 21st September) by celebrating its dedicated care team and raising vital funds for The Care Workers’ Charity through a day of fundraising and fun at Newport’s Innovation Centre.
The week is an annual national event that recognises the invaluable contributions of care workers who dedicate their lives to supporting others. To honour the occasion and to celebrate their recent Good rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), All Care Isle of Wight hosted a special event with the support of neighbouring businesses.
Staff and local businesses joined together to raise money by dressing up, hosting a raffle, and taking part in a friendly bake-off competition.
The Care Workers’ Charity, the beneficiary of the event, is a non-profit organisation that supports current and former care workers who are facing personal crises. Its mission is to advocate for the welfare of carers, particularly in times of financial instability and hardship.
Claire Martin, Registered Manager of All Care Isle of Wight, has said:
“I could not be any prouder of my team and their efforts for getting a great CQC result and making the day so successful.
“The Care Workers’ Charity is such a great cause as, due to the rising living costs we are all facing, it provides a reassurance to those carers who are struggling that there is support out there to help them.”

A number of local businesses generously donated prizes to the raffle, including GG’s Bar & Restaurant, Wildheart Animal Sanctuary, Courtyard Aesthetics, Hewitts, Fuzzy Friends & Co, Correo, 1Leisure, Summer Lillies, Solent Cruises and Everycare.
So far, All Care Isle of Wight has raised £200 for The Care Workers’ Charity, with the final total still to come in from All Care Ltd nationally.
