Police on the Isle of Wight are investigating a burglary at the Co-op in Freshwater. The premises on Avenue Road was broken into some time overnight, between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. A large hole was smashed in the glass door, allowing the intruder or intruders to enter the store. Some alcohol is thought to have been stolen. Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary says that enquiries remain ongoing. The shop is closed until further notice.
