The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was scrambled to assist in a medical emergency in East Cowes earlier this afternoon (Tuesday).
Having not long completed a medical evacuation from St Mary’s to Southampton General Hospital, the green and yellow liveried helicopter didn’t have far to travel before arriving in the skies above East Cowes at around 15:40.
After a brief circling of the local vicinity, eventually HIOWAA touched down at the bottom end of the playing fields off Vectis Road.
Flying medics then met local crews on the nearby Kingston Road where the patient was transferred to the chopper.
After around 25 minutes on the ground, HIOWAA took off heading straight for Southampton General Hospital once again.
