The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has landed in Fishbourne this morning (Monday) in response to a medical emergency.
Flying doctors are working alongside paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service in treating a male patient.
The man is to be conveyed to a mainland hospital by the air ambulance, which has touched down on a narrow strip of grass close to the ferry terminal.
UPDATE @ 11:40 – The patient has been airlifted to Southampton General Hospital for further treatment.
The IOW ambulance service has now stood down from the incident.

I wish a speedy recovery to the gentleman.
Great we have such in these worrying times.
Speedy recovery and this is another reason why we all need to support the air ambulances and the fantastic work they do
