Paramedics, firefighters and the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance have been called to Bembridge this afternoon (Monday) in response to an ongoing medical emergency in the village.
A single fire appliance from Ryde was the first on scene with resources from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service – including an Operational Commander and Critical Care Paramedics – arriving soon after.
999 calls were first made at around 16:15.
The assistance of HIOWAA was quickly sought with the helicopter arriving in the skies above the village at around 16:40, eventually landing nearby in a field off Mill Road.
All medical professionals present are currently tending to a casualty at an address off Woodland Grove.
Flying doctors visited the area just a few weeks ago, as previously reported by Island Echo.
