AIR AMBULANCE IN ACTION IN RESPONSE TO GODSHILL MEDICAL EMERGENCY

The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has responded to a medical emergency in the village of Godshill this lunchtime (Friday). Medics were scrambled to Central Wight at just before 13:00 to assist colleagues from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service with an incident at an address on Ternal Mead. The helicopter touched down in the nearby recreation ground at 13:15, with flying doctors and paramedics travelling a short distance on foot to the scene of the emergency. The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were already in attendance with an ambulance and critical care paramedic dispatched. The air ambulance crew have since stood down from the incident with the helicopter lifting off and returning to its base at Andover.
