UPDATED: Adverse weather conditions have resulted in the suspension of Island Line trains between Ryde Esplanade and Ryde Pier Head this afternoon (Thursday).
Trains are currently unable to run up and down the pier and therefore services between Ryde Pier Head and Shanklin will start and terminate at Ryde Esplanade.
Island Line expect the situation to continue until 19:00 this evening.
The suspension comes ahead of a severe weather warning for strong winds tomorrow, which could cause even more travel disruption.
UPDATE @ 17:30 – Island Line say conditions have eased and therefore trains are once again serving Ryde Pier Head.
