UPDATED: Adverse weather conditions have forced the suspension of some cross-Solent services this morning (Wednesday).
Hovertravel have cancelled all of their Ryde-Southsea crossings until further notice as a result of the windy conditions on the Solent.
Due to mechanical problems and the adverse conditions, Wightlink have cancelled all catamaran sailings from Portsmouth Harbour until further notice. However, sailings from Ryde Pier Head – operated by a charter vessel – are still operating at 10 minutes past the hour.
UPDATE @ 08:26 – Wightlink say their catamaran service between Ryde Pier Head and Portsmouth has been suspended altogether now.
Red Funnel services are currently unaffected and all car ferry services are running to timetable.
UPDATE @ 09:20 – Hovertravel have now resumed a normal timetabled service.
UPDATE @ 09:34 – Wightlink say their Ryde Pier Head-Portsmouth catamaran service has now resumed and is running to timetable.
