Severe gales and heavy rain are causing adverse conditions across the Isle of Wight this morning (Friday), which is causing disruption to local travel.
Hovertravel have suspended their Ryde-Southsea passenger service due to the rough conditions.
Although an update is due at 09:00, it is unlikely the service will be operating again anytime soon.
Meanwhile, on the roads, Blackwater Hollow near Rookley has been closed due to a fallen tree across the carriageway.
Police are also reported to have closed Sandown Road at Blackwater due to a crash outside the parcel distribution centre.
All other services are operating to timetable but further disruption is expected.
