35 people have now died in care homes on the Isle of Wight due to coronavirus, with the total number of people dying the community overall reaching 39.
In statistics released by the Office for National Statistics today (Tuesday), the number of deaths caused by COVID-19 in care homes has increased from 29 to 35 – a rise of 6.
The number of people who have died at home remains the same at 3 with 1 death also recorded in the hospice.
There have been no new hospital deaths recorded since 25th May, as previously reported by Island Echo.
According to the latest official information, the total number of deaths on the Island due to COVID-19 is 77.
