UPDATED: Police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are attending a 3-vehicle crash on Staplers Road in Newport this lunchtime (Wednesday).
No one is thought to have been seriously injured in the smash, which has taken place near to the pedestrian crossing.
Emergency services were called to the incident at just before 12:30.
Motorists should avoid the area for the time being with traffic reported to be heavy in the area.
UPDATE @ 13:53 – 1 person has sustained minor injuries in the crash, which has involved a BMW, Suzuki and a Mitsubishi.
The scene has now been cleared.
