All 3 teenagers appeared before Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court via video link this morning. The case was adjourned.

Remanded in custody I hope…
Even IF they are, that is then taken from their sentence anyway. So given that that will be only a few months, half of that cut for good behaviour, then likely only a few weeks before they are at it again, only with more ‘street cred’ to the dim slappers and mates of such.
Just remove them from society for the longest time possoble.
There is no punishment that is fitting enough for people that are just off the scale wild and have no care for anyone else.
This will be the pattern they have set for life so they will be a burden to all around them forever more.
Only age may calm them slightly but don’t hold out hope.
Case adjourned so walking streets again
Dirty little scum bags!! Picking on young boy’s!! Put them up against a real man then see what happens. Lock them up and let them be taught a lesson.
Hope so for their sake! Beating up kids. F?!king wimps! Hope you all go down for a long time! Probably less kids to hit in prison! Have a nice time! Wells done boys and girls in blue good job as always
Hardly they are all kids ? They are scummy kids but none the less kids.
My 2 cents
This is the youth of today! What a load of crap.
Every generation has a ‘youth of today’.
Never used to be on this scale, somethings gone wrong, we once had something called society, now we have community’s.
Time we stopped making excuses for these people, young or old, respect for what’s right and wrong has gone now.
We are so divided now, no one knows what the answers are, privileged or not, bad behaviour does nothing to help those that are less privileged.
A quote by Socrates (469–399 B.C.) – “The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.”
Way ahead of his time, your timing for posting Socrotes quote is extremely fitting for the times we now live.
Well done to you…
problem is parents useless no morals no wants just take benifits social media no asperations get money quick drugs just useless scum police cant do much wont go inside be out in weeks or months just scum and its getting worse
Actually, this is 3 youths of today. Most kids I know are polite and considerate. Not all have the advantage of a stable, home environment though. Judge not, less ye be judged…
Says the absolute buffoon with “your opinions suck” as their username.
Prat!!
It was a response to the name ‘opinions matter’, numbnuts.
Well, you got me there, Mark Jennings. Don’t I feel foolish? Still, at least I’m not in the habit of using superfluous exclamation marks.
Do you believe Covid is real then?
Sad that they think this is the way to live
Praise to the police. The courts need to sentence them heavily to let them know this is not acceptable and they need to change their ways or spend the rest of their lives In and out of prison. Blackmail, Abh and the rest at this age , where is this coming from ?
The parents have failed all of them
Sad for all concerned.
I know a parent – on a professional basis – of one of these young men and the last thing he did was fail him. Sometimes circumstance and peer pressure overtakes all that has been instilled. Dad will feel bad enough without finger pointing. Sometimes being a good parent is not enough.
Thank you for that information , I accept your professional view. However I think in general parental irresponsibility is a factor in many problem teenagers.
I sincerely hope that the young man, whose father you know, takes stock of what he has done and changes his ways. His father clearly deserves better and has my support.
Sadly peer pressure is a major problem, and is reinforced by violent and negative messages on social media. Social media companies need to take control of what they allow on their sites instead of just making huge profits and turning a blind eye. They have a lot to answer for.
Hope the young man turns his life round.
Get used to this and more. When Penny Feathers and Ryde is built to destruction, this will become ‘the norm’.
Watch, and see.
Anything like this and it’s always the same old chestnut. Try having a glass half full not half empty. And for gods sake change the record.
What a clever thing to say! Do you own a t-shirt with “I told you so” just in case?
Lovely people by the looks of the rap sheet
Send them to Saudi Arabia or China, no one would make excuses for them out there.
Oh boy he a hard lad hitting kids. I believe in karma. He who lives by the sword..
I am truly worried about my Grandchildren being brought up properly but having to mix with these sort of disruptive idiots with no morals or respect. Bringing up Children takes a lot of effort clearly some people can’t be bothered !
I am quite sure the magistrates will give a full sentence in this case. A little tickle on the tummy and some pocket money for being naughty.
Put the parents in prison and the children in care someone needs to take responsibility
One of these lads had a perfectly good life until the pathetic judges dragged them away to live with a father who doesn’t give a toss about them…dont diss what you dont know
Probably known by social services. Who spare no money or efforts in apologizing to their clients! Instead of sending them to borstal.
Maggots!!!!
Scummy little barstewards. The parents are responsible. More than likely dragged up in Chav families. An utter disgrace to the Island population. No doubt they will end up following a life of petty crime or worse.
I bet the parents and extended family are
proud of them !
They should be ashamed.
Well I know Harrison’s dad he is a business owner a single dad who done everything he could for his sons it’s not his fault by any means
Artful my arse…try finding out what’s behind it.instead of throwing your abuse…1 of these lads had a perfectly good life until a dummy woman hating judge sent him to that hellhole…so dont mouth off what you dont know about
As much as I agree that in some cases the parents are at fault and should take the blame it isn’t always the case, sometimes and I do mean sometimes the kids get into bad crowds and are easily influenced by other kids.
I do know of a parent who brought all of there kids up with rules and all the love they could ever want or need and one has become unruly and uncontrollable, and this was no fault of the parents.
But like I said at the start I get what your saying 100% but just remember that it’s not always the case.
Agree Island Resident. The easily influenced can be taken in by those kids who have not had a very good upbringing. Whose parents have not given their time to install respect, discipline and love. The lawless who don’t give a fig about behaving in a civilized way, need to be taken out of society and rehabilitated. Sticking them in a young offenders or prison, if old enough, won’t teach them anything, probably come out worse than when they went in. These kids/youngsters need to be taught a trade, something to help them in their sad empty lives. Taught basic manners and respect. Then if they continue to mess up, put them in prison for a long time. Then nobody can say they weren’t given a chance.
Sad that they think this is what life is, i do believe they should be jailed for a few months for punishment to reduce the reoffending, being at such a young age it would be a shock to them
We would like to say that the reported incident at sandown pier did not take place upon our premises. Any incidents involving disgusting behaviour like that, would prompt us to contain the individuals until police would be able to attend
Pier pressure.
Idiot
I don’t understand the people who say theses things didn’t happen years ago it’s quite simple it did. The only difference is there are so many platforms of social media which weren’t there before so you hear about every incident that happens. I’ve grown up on the island from 1984 and I can assure you these things were happening all the time in Sandown/Shanklin/Lake and across the island all the time. I remember so many incidents. This is a terrible things these teenagers have done we all know that but unfortunately you will always get a section of society who feel they need to behave this way.
They should be put in a boot camp and taught discipline and respect they might think twice next time
we need to build some boot camps to house these young people who dont know how to behave.NOT MORE HOUSES there are enough houses that are only used for six weeks of the year.Have we got anyone who knows how to run a boot camp up at 5am run untill they drop and then give them something of use to do.I am not a nasty person BUT we do need some order or our lives will be unbearable.
Yes you are quite right, these things have always happened, the difference now though is that the punishments are laughable and contempt for the police and parents is the norm,
