3 MEN BAILED AS DETECTIVES CONTINUE TO PROBE SANDOWN HANDGUN INCIDENT

3 men arrested in relation to an aggravated burglary in Sandown on Sunday evening have been bailed.

Police say they are continuing their enquiries into the incident, during which a gang of men forced entry into a caravan at Fairway Holiday Park.

As previously reported by Island Echo, Armed Police were deployed to the incident as it was reported a handgun was shown.

As part of Hampshire Constabulary’s investigation into the incident, a 24-year-old man from Newport was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, as was a second 24-year-old man. A 25-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary as well as possession of a class B drug.
