VIDEO: A 3-1 victory against Romsey Town secured promotion for Island club Cowes Sports FC yesterday (Saturday) in nail-biting match at Westwood Park.
After a challenging start to one of the most important games in the club’s recent history, The Yachtsmen’s very own Jared Wetherick – who was named man of the match – led the team to taking the win after scoring a hat-trick and ultimately promotion to the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division.
Crows were aplenty at Westwood Park, with cheers of celebration as the final whistle blew.
Cowes Sports FC now join Newport FC in the top flight local league next season.
