2 power cuts are affecting the Isle of Wight this evening (Sunday).
Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks have been made aware of 2 network faults in Newport and Northwood.
The powercut in Newport went off at 19:44 and engineers aim to get supplies restored by 05:30 Monday morning.
The power cut affecting Northwood went off at 21:10, however, is expected to be restored by midnight.
A spokesperson for SSEN has said:
“We’re sorry for the loss of supply.
“We currently have a fault affecting the areas listed.
“Our engineers are on site working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can.

UPDATE MONDAY: Power has now been restored to all affected properties.

The relevant ESI was conceived to cover the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity supply through the network of the regional electricity boards and the CEGB. The ESI still has an active roll in safety, pensions and relevant matters of operational incidents. Come on, admit it, you are getting out of your depth.
