UPDATED: Emergency services are attending a road traffic collision on Parkhurst Road, Newport this morning (Friday).
Traffic is building in the area following the smash outside HMP Isle of Wight at just before 06:20.
The main Newport to Cowes road remains open under Police direction, however motorists should expect delays.
No one is thought to have sustained any serious injuries. A telecommunications cabinet has been damaged.
UPDATE @ 07:40 – The incident has now been cleared and traffic is flowing in both directions.
