Police are attending a road traffic collision at Town Gate in Newport this morning (Thursday).
Despite fewer vehicles on the road due to the lockdown restrictions, 2 vehicles have collided in foggy conditions at the traffic light junction of Hunnyhill, Foxes Road and St James’ Street.
The incident, which has involved Ford Focus MkI and another vehicle, is causing delays in the area.
Southern Vectis Route 1 buses are currently unable to serve St James Street (Newport bound) and will be diverting locally until further notice.

Drive like Hell, and you will ‘get there’.
Not causing any delays at all by the way 🙂 all smooth driving through there
Less traffic due to lockdown? I don’t think so. Listening to the amount of cars driving along the main road this morning, it’s business as usual.
