2 ARRESTED ON SUSPICION OF ROBBERY IN SANDOWN

2 people in their 30s have been arrested on suspicion of robbery following an incident in Sandown last night (Sunday).

Police were called to the Fort Street area at just before 19:00 following reports of a robbery.

A large number of officers were present in the area throughout the evening.

Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed that a 37-year-old man from Ryde and a 36-year-old woman from Sandown have both been arrested in connection with the incident.

They both remain in Police custody at this time.

I lived in Sandown – Yaverland about 55 years ago and as far as Fort st and Fort mews etc! Nothings changed! Why
