10-YEAR-OLD BOY ARRESTED AS PART OF RAPE INVESTIGATION

A 10-year-old boy has been arrested and questioned by Police on the Isle of Wight as they investigate an alleged rape. The youngster – who is only just at the age of criminal responsibility – was detained by detectives on Tuesday, Island Echo understands. The child was taken into custody at Newport Police Station and quizzed under caution. It’s thought he has since been bailed. It follows an allegation that a sexual offence had taken place. The age and gender of the alleged victim is unknown. Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has been unable to comment on the matter.
