The Isle of Wight will take a team of 10 cyclists to the Island Games in Orkney next week.
Team Isle of Wight had never won a Gold medal in Cycling at the Island Games until Guernsey 2023 when Kev Chant won Time Trial Gold and the Men’s team won Team Time Trial Gold.
Team IOW’s 10-strong cohort of Nick Earley, Charis Jones, Oliver Nolan, George Spooner, Devon Badman, Ewan Cook, Alfie Haydon, Eli Tucker, Chris Till and Ellen Williams, are hoping to add to the success of 2 years ago.
Manager Russell Page and coach Joe Staunton will keep a watchful eye on the team in northern Scotland.
The cycling events kick off on Monday 14th July with the Time Trial. The Road Race will take place on Wednesday 16th and the Criterium on Friday 18th.
