UPDATED: The Cowes Floating Bridge service between East and West Cowes is currently suspended for vehicles due to this afternoon’s exceptionally low tide (Saturday).
The Isle of Wight Council say a foot passenger service is continuing, but this is being kept under review as the evening progresses.
Vehicles are unable to board due to the angle of the slipway/boarding ramp and therefore a vehicle diversion is in place via Newport.
A normal service is expected to resume at 19:00 this evening.
UPDATE @ 19:00 – A normal service has now resumed.
