The freehold investment property at 34 Atherley Road, Shanklin, was among 149 lots listed across southern England and South Wales by Clive Emson Auctioneers. Rob Marchant, Island auctioneer, said:
“There were 35 bids, with the final one of £363,000 coming in at £43,000 above the lower end of the guide price. “Currently let at £29,220 per annum, with one vacant flat, the gross yield is just over 8%, a respectable return.”
A 5-bedroom freehold detached house at 59 Staplers Road, Newport fetched £236,000 in a bidding war. Rob said there 29 bids, with the final 1 coming in at £86,000 more than the guide price.
