A 23-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing a man at an address in Ryde yesterday evening (Wednesday).
Police were called around 18:20 to a report of a serious assault at an address on Newport Street – just 100m from Ryde Police Station.
Officers promptly arrived on scene, where they found a 34-year-old man had suffered a stab wound to his right arm.
The blood-covered male was rushed to St Mary’s Hospital, Newport for treatment.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that a 23-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
She remains in police custody at Newport Police Station at this time.
UPDATE ON FRIDAY 15TH AUGUST – Police have confirmed that a 23-year-old woman has been released on bail until the 13th November.
