UPDATED: The road between Whitwell and Ventnor has been closed by Police this evening (Friday) due to a single-vehicle road traffic collision.
A car has left the carriageway near to the junction with St Lawrence Shute after losing control in a heavy hail shower, which swept across the area at around 17:00.
No one has been injured in the incident, however Police officers are on scene.
The road has been closed in both directions.
UPDATE – The vehicle has been recovered and the road has reopened.
