This is your guide to when and where you can view the Isle of Wight stage of the Tour of Britain between Ryde and St Helens on Sunday 11th September.
The Neutralised Start begins at Ryde Esplanade at 11:00. This allows cyclists to pick up speed before the race begins proper.
The start proper is at Appley Road at 11:15. The riders will then make their way along Calthorpe Road, through Pondwell to Nettlestone, then on to St Helens via Eddington Road. It will take the competitors a mere 5 minutes from the start of the race to reach St Helens at around 11:20.
From St Helens, the riders will sprint their way along Embankment Road to Bembridge. which they will reach at around 11:23.
Where are the best vantage points to see the Tour of Britain around Ryde?
All riders will parade along the Esplanade at 11:00, but this is not part of the race proper, but a chance for spectators to see all the competitors.
Those wishing to get close to the action can do so as the tour makes its way through Nettlestone at around 11:17. One of the best spots to view the tour racing with parking spots available will be St Helens Village Green, which the competitors will reach at around 11:20.
Timings may vary depending on race pace. Spectators should allow plenty of time to travel and park.
