Incessant rain meant no play was possible in Ventnor’s first and second team Saturday League games at the weekend.
The club’s third team managed to reach 82-3 from 20 overs against Paultons III before the weather forced an abandonment.
Things are looking up for the coming weekend as Ventnor’s first 11 face Havant in 2 competitions.
On Saturday they travel to Havant Park in the Southern League Premier Division while on Sunday, the Islanders play host to the same opposition in a Royal London Club Championship third round tie at Steephill at 13:00.
Also on Saturday, the second team entertain Bishop’s Waltham in the Hampshire League Division 1 at Steephill at 13:00.
The third 11 are away to Curdridge in Hampshire League Regional Division 3 South.
