A yellow weather warning for heavy and persistent rain has been issued for the Isle of Wight, with forecasters warning of possible flooding and disruption once again tomorrow (Wednesday).
IW Met Service warns a large area of rainfall is expected to move in from the south later on Wednesday afternoon, lasting into the night.
Rainfall totals will vary depending on location, however some areas of the Isle of Wight could see between 20-30mm falling within just a few hours. One or two locations may record as much as 40mm.
The warning is valid from 14:00 until 23:00 on 18th February.
There is a risk that streams and rivers could breach their banks, with roads expected to flood in the usual prone locations.
Motorists are being advised to take extra care.
