Red Funnel has announced the cancellation of 6 Red Jet sailings on its West Cowes-Southampton route this afternoon (Friday) – and a revised timetable until next week. It’s said that the 15:35, 16:45 and 17:55 crossings from Southampton have been pulled, alongside the 16:10, 17:20 and 18:30 crossings from West Cowes. An issue with the Port water jet on Red Jet 6 has led to the disruption, with the vessel pulled from service. UPDATE @ 17:14 – Red Funnel has confirmed that a revised timetable will run between now and Tuesday, incorporating travel on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The entire operation is now reliant on Red Jet 7, with Red Jet 4 out of action since November.
