Due to the success of the first festival – coupled with high demand to make this an annual event – organisers of Warrior Festival have announced its return to Sandown Airport on 30th July 2022.
Last year a host of Isle of Wight bands rallied together and helped to raise £7,500 for The Wight Brainy Bunch. This year Warrior Festival will be tacking up a level with 9 bands scheduled and a children’s play zone.
The original idea for Warrior Festival came about when a close friend of the team was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. The help and support she received from the Wight Brainy Bunch inspired the want to give something back.
The Wight Brainy Bunch provides invaluable emotional and financial support to families devastated by brain tumours. Set up by Mark Grimes and his wife Kathryn, following Mark’s diagnosis of a brain tumour in February 2015.
The family-friendly festival is fun for all, with an array of food options, bars and live music from local bands that have given up the time to support this cause.
Tickets are priced at £15 and under 12s going free. All proceeds go directly to The Wight Brainy Bunch charity.
