The views of residents in East Cowes and Whippingham are being sought to help unlock future Government funding for walking and cycling routes in the area.
A short online survey has been commissioned by East Cowes Town Council and Whippingham Parish Council to help inform the Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP).
The infrastructure plan will be published at the end of March this year.

There are public consultation meetings for the East Cowes and Whippingham walking and cycling plan taking place soon. COVID permitting, there will be in-person events as well as online meetings taking place in February.

I hope those taking part realize that the intention will be to give the impression the community have requested that the council bureaucrats make it more difficult for cars and private vehicles to negotiate the town as they paint more double yellows, reduce road widths/close roads off to vehicles and generally make life even more unpleasant for residents in order to ‘save the planet’
If everyone has a nimby attitude to cutting emissions there may not be a viable planet for our grandchildren
