After a gap of nearly 2 years, visitors are being welcomed back to the offshore boathouse at Bembridge RNLI from tonight (Tuesday).
Until the COVID pandemic hit, visitors were allowed to see the lifeboat launch on training every Tuesday night. However, to keep the lifeboat operational, the decision was taken to prevent members of the public from accessing the boathouse.
Now, as the pandemic draws to a close, Bembridge Lifeboat is once again welcoming spectators to see the Tamar-class ‘Alfred Albert Williams’ launch down the slipway.
Subject to the usual operational priorities, the next training launch is this evening (Tuesday 15th February) at 19:00 sharp.
Numbers are limited to 60 so it’s suggested you don’t leave it until the last minute!
