The 2 leading Isle of Wight cricket sides – Ventnor and Ryde – both face home ties against mainland opposition later on today (Saturday).
In the Southern Premier League, Ventnor will be hoping to build on their successful start to the season when they beat New Milton by 6 wickets in their 1st game. Ventnor take on Sparsholt at Steephill.
In Hampshire Division 1, Ryde will attempt to bounce back from their 112-run opening day defeat by Fareham & Crofton when they face Burridge.
In Division 3 (South), Shanklin & Godshill will hope to continue the momentum from their 6-wicket victory in their opening game against Fareham & Crofton 2nd XI when they travel across the Solent to take on Portsmouth & Southsea 2nd XI.
Both Island Division 4 sides play on the mainland this Saturday: Ventnor 2nd XI travel to Portsmouth to face Kerala 2nd XI; Ryde 2nd XI also cross the Solent to play United Services Portsmouth.
There is only 1 Island League game this Saturday: Newport 2nd XI play Northwood 2nd XI. There are 2 games in the Isle of Wight Senior Cup: Arreton v Newport and St Helens v Cowes.
The Isle of Wight Cricket Board 1st XI play their 1st fixture this Saturday when they take on Berkshire 2nd XI at Newclose. The match begins at 11:00.
