VENTNOR have been unsuccessful in their bid to win a share of £1.2 million pounds.

The seaside town put an application in to receive a share of the ‘Portas Pilot’ grant, aimed to rejuvenate towns up and down the country.

The government has announced the first towns to benefit from the grant, however unfortunately Ventnor was not included.

Hope is not all lost for the town, as another 12 towns will be named by the beginning of August.
